Lieutenant Colonel Jim Fisher, U.S. Army, Retired

Colonel Fisher has served as the Executive Director of the Korean War Veterans Memorial Foundation since 2016. In 2001, he retired from the United States Army after over 24 years of service. He has served as the National Executive Director of the Korean War Veterans Association and Friends of the National WWII Memorial.

Key assignments include:

  • Director of Operations Officer for the Department of Defense’s 50 th
    Anniversary of WWII and 50 the Anniversary of the Korean War
    Commemoration.
  • Coordinating producer for the PBS National Memorial Day Concert and A Capitol Fourth Concert.
  • In 2001, he was awarded the Vietnam Veteran of the Year Award for his dedication to ensure all Veterans are properly honored for their service.
