73rd Commemoration Ceremony of the Korean Armistice Agreement, July 27, 2026

We invite you to join us on July 27th at 10 a.m. at the Korean War Veterans Memorial.

The Korean War Veterans Memorial Foundation will honor the brave Service Members from 22 UN nations who fought in the Korean War.

With gratitude and reverence, the ceremony will pay tribute to their dedication and the profound impact they had on shaping the course of history. The event will feature an opportunity to connect with the Memorial’s community of supporters, poignant remarks, and a solemn wreath-laying ceremony to remember those who gave their all for freedom.

Attendees will include Veterans, dignitaries, family members, and supporters who gather not only to honor the past but also to look towards a future where the lessons learned from the Korean War guide us towards a better future. As we stand united in remembrance, we reaffirm our commitment to ensuring that their contributions continue to inspire generations to come.

Korean Armistice Agreement, signed on July 27, 1953, brought an end to the hostilities of the Korean War, a conflict that had wrought immense devastation and loss. This agreement, while not a formal peace treaty, marked a pivotal moment in history, establishing the Korean Demilitarized Zone, which still stands today as a symbol of both division and the enduring hope for reconciliation. As we commemorate its 73rd anniversary, we reflect on the courage and sacrifice of those who served and the ongoing efforts towards achieving a lasting peace on the Korean Peninsula.
