- PoR PLAZA: Sand set paver reinstallation in segments 3 & 2 are ongoing and will continue into January. The last section of the plaza gutter in segment 1 was installed on 12/7. WoR concrete slab: Wall activities that include rebar installation and concrete pours for segment 1 was completed on 12/16. The Mural Wall slot drain and adjacent concrete curb started on 12/6 and was completed on 12/16. With the completion of these concrete pours the majority of the concrete for the project has been placed with only the sidewalks that tie the Memorial to Ash Road and Independence Ave. remaining. Granite benches in segments 3 & 2 are complete, segment 1 benches will be completed in early January. Wall of Remembrance panels were delivered to the site on 12/16, install began on 12/20. Install was put on hold due to a layout discrepancy, the issue was resolved at the end of the month and panel installation will resume in early January. Steel angle for the Linden tree pit grating began on 12/28. Upcoming activities for January include the install of the WoR panels from 100-85 and mockup section of the panels to include the handrail.
- POOL of REMEMBRANCE: The 1st topping slab section, which accounts for 95% of the total area, was poured on 12/16. Upcoming activities include install of light fixture sleeves, completion of waterproofing around the light sleeves, concrete topping slab infill, and start of paver reinstallation.
- MURAL WALL: No activities this month, mowstrip paver reinstallation on the south side of the wall is the only remaining item and will likely begin at the end of January.
- SITE WORK (outside PoR Plaza): The bio-retention and (2) bio-swales were completed on 12/17, all (3) were protected with silt fence and will remain that way until the surrounding areas are stabilized towards the end of the project. Lightweight fill install for the berm in segment 1 started on 12/21, with a completion expected in early January. The remaining cut out of grade in segment 2 is scheduled to be completed once the WoR panels are installed in segment 2. The additional activities that are scheduled for January include water proofing & drain tile behind the 1st (16) WoR panels and remaining lightweight fill install in segment 3 to create the berm also behind the WoR panels.
- FIELD OF SERVICE: Lighting fixture install for the Statues was completed on 12/15. Paver restoration work on the North pathway, along the UN curb, was completed on 12/22. On the west pathway, temporary barricades and restoration work began on 12/22 and is scheduled to complete in January. The upcoming activities for the FoS include the completion of the West pathway restoration, aiming of the statue lighting, and removal of the existing UN curb to prep for new curb installation.

- Restoration of the West Pathway, including paver removal and drain cleaning, began in late December and will continue through January.

- Foam-Glass Aggregate (FGA/Lightweight) was installed in segment 1.

- WoR Panels (85-100) arrived on site but installation was delayed due to a layout issue. The issue has been resolved and installation will resume in early January.

- The bioretention and bioswales completed this month and will be protected throughout the project.

- The UN Pathway restoration work began and completed in December. Work included grout removal, paver cleaning & resetting, and joint caulking.

- Roughly 95% of the PoR topping slab was poured this month to facilitate paver reinstallation, the remaining section will be poured in mid-January.

- Sand-set paver reinstallation at the plaza will continue into January.

- The final section of gutter was installed in mid-December. This gutter will support the ornamental rail that will sit in front of the WoR Stone.
